Apprenticeship Roles

We’re preparing to launch our Electrician Apprenticeship Programme to help train the next generation of qualified electricians across South and Central London. This is a hands-on pathway designed for individuals who are serious about learning the trade properly — not just shadowing jobs, but gaining real-world experience with guidance from certified mentors.

What to expect:

  • Work alongside City & Guilds qualified, Part P competent electricians
  • Combination of on-site learning and structured study covering safety, installation, and diagnostics
  • Experience across real homes, shops, and small commercial sites
  • Weekly mentoring and progress reviews
  • Opportunity for full-time employment after qualification

Ideal for you if you:

  • Have strong practical skills and attention to detail
  • Are reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
  • Hold a valid UK right to work
  • Have basic maths and English GCSEs (or equivalent)

Programme details:

  • Duration: 3–4 years (Level 3 qualification pathway)
  • Pay: Follows current UK apprenticeship wage, with increases as skills progress

Qualified Electrician (Domestic & Commercial)

Location: London, field based from Brixton SW2
Type: Full time, permanent or self employed
Hours: Mon to Sat 8:00 to 17:00, optional evenings and weekends
Pay: £18 to £25 per hour base, overtime at time and a quarter, callouts and nights attract premiums
Start: Immediate

What you will do

  • Fault finding and urgent restores after trips or outages
  • Lighting installs and upgrades, internal and external
  • Consumer unit replacements and distribution board upgrades
  • EICR remedials and minor works certification
  • Additional sockets, spurs, cookers, showers, extractors
  • Small commercial fit outs and reactive maintenance

What you need

  • City & Guilds electrical qualifications and 18th Edition
  • Demonstrable Part P competence for notifiable work
  • Full UK driving licence and own hand tools
  • DBS checked or willing to complete a check
  • Strong fault finding skills and clean, respectful site habits

Nice to have

  • 2391 testing and inspection
  • EV charger experience
  • Experience working in occupied homes and shop units
